“Just stop eating so much” they say. “Just don’t put that crap in your mouth!”
So you…- wake up the next morning committed to eating perfectly and not pigging out on crap today.
– Catch yourself walking to the vending machine after lunch to get a little something to lift your spirits.
– Pull into the nearest gas station to buy a few snacks on your way home from work because you’re absolutely exhausted and need the sugar hit before going to gym.
– Plan to just have a nibble but end up finishing the lot.
– Decide to skip gym because you’ve just eaten and would hate to train with a bloated stomach.
– Raid the fridge for something salty (and maybe a glass of wine too) shortly after walking in the door.
– Vow not to eat any dinner tonight.
– Eat dinner even though you’re not really hungry (but you made it and would hate for all that hard work to go to waste!)- Feel utterly disheartened by your lack of willpower today and dive into a bit of ice cream before bed.- Have a sneaky suspicion that you may need some sort of exorcism to stop this insane behaviour!!!
– Crawl into bed with another book on diet/ health/ nutrition and a cup of hot chocolate – relieved that the day is finally over and inspired to try again tomorrow.
– Fall asleep clutching to your health/diet/nutrition book and the glimmer of hope that tomorrow is going to be different now that you’re armed with new information.

WARNING #2: You will need to commit to taking responsibility for your actions and letting go of blame and shame. You will need to commit to being honest about the good, the bad and the ugly. And you’ll need to be willing to BELIEVE that you can rid yourself of this crazy behaviour for good.
